Timber Framing Workshop

$1,095.00

This immersive six-day workshop is designed for complete beginners who want to learn the foundational skills of timber framing and carpentry in a supportive, small-group environment.

Combining workshop-based learning with hands-on site experience, you'll work as part of a team to construct a garden shed for a real client. Throughout the course, you'll learn the fundamental principles of timber-framed construction while applying those skills on a real building project.

You'll be introduced to the key concepts of framing, layout, structural principles, construction methods, and safe work practices. Along the way, you'll gain hands-on experience using a wide range of essential carpentry tools, including drills, impact drivers (rattlers), drop saws, circular saws, spirit levels, nail guns, and more.

Rather than learning from demonstrations alone, you'll be actively involved in the construction process, helping to transform a set of plans into a finished structure. This practical, real-world approach provides valuable experience while developing the confidence and capability needed to take on future building projects of your own.

With a maximum class size of just four participants, there is plenty of opportunity for one-on-one instruction, personalised guidance, and shared learning alongside others.

No previous experience is required—in fact, none is expected. This workshop is specifically designed for people who want to learn practical carpentry skills from the ground up.

This course runs for six total days over two consecutive weekends: 24th-26th October & 31st October - 2nd November
