Picture Framing Workshop

This hands-on, two-day workshop is designed for complete beginners who want to learn the art of professional-quality picture framing from start to finish.

Bring along two pieces of artwork that are meaningful to you (up to A2 size) and over two days you’ll learn the essential skills and techniques used to create beautifully finished custom timber frames, including:

• accurate measuring and marking

• timber preparation and joining

• staining and finishing your frame

• cutting and assembling frame components

• cutting glass and mat board

• professionally mounting and finishing your artwork

Using beautiful Tasmanian timbers, you’ll create a custom frame designed to complement and protect your work - leaving with new skills and a professionally finished piece ready to hang.

With a maximum class size of just four participants, there’s plenty of opportunity for one-on-one instruction, personalised guidance, and shared learning alongside others.

All materials are provided.
